Yes, bunionette really is a word. Believe me, we've had many laughs at Pam's house last summer and since when referring to Ann's bunionette. We were convinced that Ann and Amanda had conjured up this term on their own. Pam went to get her lap top and sure enough, Ann and Amanda were right.
Over time, the bunion and bunionette had become increasingly uncomfortable for Ann. The bunion was causing her toes to shift at an awkward angle. She was unable to find any shoes that she could wear that would not cause her more discomfort. She resorted to wearing slippers while at work.
Ann had been to see Dr. Alvarez on numerous occasions. He offered his recommendations and let Ann mull them over. In the end, Ann decided on the surgery. Heather took Ann to have a bunionectomy and bunionettectomy. Dr. Alvarez also went in and removed some arthritis from one of her other toes.
While I was visiting Ann on Tuesday evening, she mentioned some pain she was experiencing in her leg. She did not know where this was coming from. Nancy took her for her post-op appointment the next day. Dr. Alvarez said not to worry about it. Everything looks good. She just needs to make sure she stays off of her feet.
She has not been sleeping well. So, she has been entertaining herself with movies and facebook games.
